Introduction to Pastel Workshop - Ages 16 to Adult

Painting Workshop - Ages 14 and Up
Join us for a workshop for beginning to intermediate artists working in any medium (some experience with your chosen medium is preferred). The instructor will provide painting exercises and a still life set up each week, but students are encouraged to bring photos or objects they would enjoy painting.

Art About Nature
Create masterpieces based on nature and the outdoors! Explore how artists use nature as their inspiration through stories and games while learning about light, color, the changing seasons, etc. Try plein air painting like Monet, draw flowers and leaves like Georgia O'Keefe and experiment with techniques and media from nature to creat unique art projects of clouds, rainbows, sunsets, mountains and more!

Art About Exploration

different artists. Each class will have a unique theme such as
animals or nature so participants will have a chance to explore their
creativity, get messy and have fun while making projects they'll

Paintbrush Diplomacy
Visit the Firehouse Gallery to view and talk about the international
children's art exhibit "Paintbrush Diplomacy" which will feature
celebrations and holidays all over the world. Then visit the Art
Studio upstairs to create your own celebrations art project to take
home.

Look of Jazz
Take in the exciting art exhibit "Look of Jazz" in the Firehouse Art
Gallery to see how real artists paint real musicians. You'll learn
about artists long ago that were also inspired by music. Then visit
the art studio to create your own imaginative and fantastic muscial
instrument to take home.
