News and Information


The show at the Harrington Gallery at the Firehouse Arts Center ended last week but it was a great experience and I loved gettting to know the other artists in the show.  The response to our Passion for Pastels show was excellent and I'm proud to have been a part of it.

I have a few new pieces that are now at Studio Seven Arts in Pleasanton. A couple of them are shown at left.  "Red Vines" is a depiction of some vines I spotted at Las Positas Vineyards in Livermore.  I was there for the wine trails this December and the vines were late in dropping their leaves.  The late afternoon sun shone through the tree and lit up the red and yellow vines.  The warmth of the scene was irresistible and I had to try and capture it.   

The other piece, "Heart of Downtown," is the first Pleasanton scene I've done in about two years.  I worked on this painting at Studio Seven Arts during the Brew Crawl and had some very interesting responses!  It was a lot of fun and you see the finished result here.  This painting will be on ornaments in time for Christmas this year so watch for them in October or November.
